Financial Assistance

Request for Financial Assistance from
LFSC Community Fund

We are proud to serve Lassen County with a deeply rooted belief in our mission: “The Fire Safe Council works to preserve California’s natural and man-made resources by mobilizing all Californians to make their homes, neighborhoods, and communities fire safe”.  Our shared goals and values provide a collaborative framework to help all our neighbors get organized, find direction, and take action to increase wildfire resiliency.

We are grateful for a tremendous financial boost to our agency from Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and proudly want to share the available, awarded funds with our local community partners, who fearlessly serve to reduce fire risk in the local communities of Lassen County

The Community Fund was established in 2024 as a sub-committee of the Lassen Fire Safe Council Board of Directors. The goal is to provide financial assistance and work collaboratively with local volunteer fire departments, Firewise communities, and other local agencies whose mission is commensurate with education, preservation, and wildfire resiliency throughout Lassen County.

The request for financial assistance form is a tool to request financial assistance for wildfire mitigation efforts, wildfire preparation education, and community projects.  This form is intended for, but not limited to:

  • Volunteer Fire Departments
  • Lassen County Firewise Communities
  • Local Residence coordinating community involvement in fire mitigation projects

Past projects include:

  • State-of-the-art radios purchased for Lassen County Volunteer Fire Departments
  • Funding for CAD texting
  • Education and meeting materials for Firewise communities
