Lassen Countywide Hazardous Fuels Assessment

Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc. (LFSC) is requesting proposals for a Lassen Countywide Hazardous Fuels Assessment from qualified consultants. The area of the project is Lassen County, California.

Tentative project implementation is expected January 2025 – December 2025. The project will involve conducting a Countywide evaluation of hazardous wildfire fuels conditions within and adjacent to the wildland urban interface (WUI) of Lassen County Communities. Project deliverables may include but are not limited to, mapping hazardous fuels conditions, assessing specific hazards to communities from wildfires, assessing current and previous hazardous fuels reduction projects, making recommendations for specific future projects to reduce hazardous fuels, and a final report interpreting findings.

Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc., will evaluate proposals submitted according to the information found in the proposal package. Proposals will only be accepted from contractors who demonstrate a technical ability to successfully complete the scope of work being bid and have valid required insurance and licenses in effect at the time of submission.

Eastside Communities Protection Project Archaeological Survey - CLOSED

Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc. (LFSC) is soliciting qualified consultants interested in performing archaeological survey work in the Plumas National Forest, Beckwourth Ranger District over approximately the next 12-18 months.

Due to the timeline, size, and scope of the project, some of this work may begin immediately after bid offers are accepted, depending on the weather. Prospective contractors are encouraged to conduct a site visit to view the area prior to submitting a proposal. No field tour for prospective contractors is scheduled.

Lassen County Defensible Space Assistance Program - CLOSED

Lassen Fire Safe Council, Inc. is requesting proposals for defensible space treatment from qualified contractors on the Lassen County Defensible Space Program. The project area is Lassen County.

Tentative project implementation is expected in fall of 2023, weather permitted, into spring of 2024. The project will involve defensible space treatments to make properties of vulnerable populations compliant to CALFIRE treatment standards (Public Resource Code 4291). Eligible properties are those properties that are located within low-income communities, disadvantaged communities, or are owned by a senior citizen, disabled person, or veteran within a High or Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone.
