Shingletown Curbside Chipping Program
The Shingletown Curbside Chipping Program will chip material placed within 5 feet of roads or driveways. The chips will be broadcast back onto the landowner’s property. The landowner is responsible for piling the material within 5 feet of the roadway. The material should be less than 8 feet in length. Piles created shall not exceed 4 feet in height and shall be free of dirt and garbage. Please pile all material with cut ends facing roadways. Materials greater than 8 inches in diameter will not be chipped. Pine needles will not be removed. Starting June 3, 2024, landowners should expect to have chipping services available the first week of every month expiring November 8, 2024.
LFSC is offering a no-cost program to aid in compliance with Public Resources Codes and California Code of Regulations. The landowner or responsible party shall not hold LFSC or our contracted service providers responsible for any damage to property or injury to persons that may arise out of work performed.
